Men thought they’d build a tower
With stairs to reach to heaven, but
God took away their power.
When He beheld their prideful plans,
Their language He confused.
Then from the tower of Babel, He
The people all diffused.
Now only God can comprehend
The speech of every nation.
No tongue is foreign to His ear.
He never needs translation.
To Him is clear each thought expressed,
The whole, not just in part.
He even knows beyond what’s said
To motives of the heart.
He sent His only Son to earth
To die for mankind’s sin
And represent His love to those
Who’d choose to follow Him.
God shares with people through the world
His message of salvation
In terms each one can understand,
Including through creation.
I’m glad God understands the words
Of people everywhere.
It’s such a comfort just to know
He hears and answers prayer.
Our God--He knows no foreign tongue;
He hears and speaks to everyone;
He reads all hearts with certainty.
I’m humbled He loves even me.

"No tongue is foreign to His ear.
He never needs translation."
It is always so comforting knowing that God hears us. Another great heartfelt poem.
I wonder what language we'll have in heaven?
