Someday Iíll get to go to Gloryland
To sing and shout and praise eternally
And march with all the saints in heavenís band.

What joy when I my blessed Savior see!
Iíll lay my earthly burdens at His feet,
And He will wipe my tears away for me.

The loved ones who have died, I long to meet;
I know that they are waiting for me there.
Reunion time together will be sweet.

With shouts of ďHallelujahĒ everywhere,
Iíll kneel before the holy sinless One
And thank Him for the cross He chose to bear.

I never will have need again for sun
Nor even lamp, for Jesus is the light,
And dark of night will be forever done.

The jeweled walls will be an awesome sight
As I stroll by on streets all made of gold
With Christians from the ages robed in white,

For just as the apostle had been told,
The church will be arrayed as Jesusí bride,
And Iíll be part as prophecy unfolds.

Then endlessly with God will I abideó
No pain nor death in body made anew,
My sins all gone because my Lord had died.

Since every promise in His Word is true,
Someday Iíll get to go to Gloryland.
I hope that you are going with me, too.

It did seem like a song to me :-) Enough to make you want to shout "glory!"

This is beautiful It would make a lovely song if you added a chorus. It just flows right off your tongue.
Laury Hubrich 03/20/11
I will certainly see you there! Think there will be a whole big palace for the FW friends? Not sure the husband's would like that, though:)

Beautiful. You should see if someone could write a score for this - it flows like music.

This stanza is my favorite (because the concept has always captivated me). "I never will have need again for sun -- Nor even lamp, for Jesus is the light, -- And dark of night will be forever done." I love your message here, and your format is intriguing. ....and super congrats on being chosen to receive the ratings feedback!!!

You need to speak with a composer about this one. Great touch; great teaching.
