Feel a bit weary,
And ready for rest?
Well, come right on in,
Be my honored guest.
You need some relief?
You feel like a mess?
This is a great way
To conquer your stress.
You say it’s a day
From “you can guess where”?
Sit down and relax.
I’ll work on your hair.
For this is the place
Where it all begins
Sit here in my chair
That lifts up and spins.
Gathered together
Here are two or more.
Let’s talk it over
With Jesus our Lord.
Tell all your burdens.
Share all your troubles.
Just lay your head back.
It’s time to make bubbles.
A pump of shampoo,
Some warm water spray.
A little massage -
Let go of your day.
A few minutes here
Make all things look new.
Life will seem brighter.
You’ll love your new “do”.
Here’s some hot water
Poured into a mug.
It’s time for some tea.
Oh, you need a hug!
We cry and we giggle,
Act just like a girl,
Solve the world’s problems,
While we cut and curl.
So when you’re at wits end,
Just read in the Psalms…
Then call your hairdresser.
You soon will be calm.
