While I was away from the church God would send me signals of the wrong turn I had made, but I never connected the dots until I returned to the flock so to speak. Ever read a church sign and felt it home a little too hard? I have. Many of them. “You Need Jesus.” “Come Home.” “Prayer: How you get answers.” “ Ch_ _ ch What’s Missing? ur.” “Jesus Saves.” These are just a few examples of the many, many messages God sent to me trying to make me realize I needed to get myself and my family back into the church environment. Once I understood the need for God in my life again, the signs all made sense.
Now that I am back in church, I think God can be bolder when He wants me to see a concept. He knows I like word games. He knows I like to read and write. He is fully aware of my need for knowledge and understanding. God also comprehends I need more than simple, blunt and to the point answers, I like to look for the hidden meaning in everything. Recently God has created a fun game for me to play and receive His messages. It’s very bold in the process and plays into my emotional thoughts. I had been going through some tough times and felt like my world was crashing around me. Sitting a stop light one day, I read the license plate of the car in front of me and the first three letters were BJB. To the normal human race this would mean nothing, however, to me it was a message which came instantly evident. Breathe, just breathe.
From the day I realized what was happening I began to look for more. BLC to me meant “Be Like Christ.” I am positive He is trying to tell me something each time stress enters my atmosphere or I begin to doubt His wisdom. I can go days without seeing license plates that mean anything and I realize these are the days when I feel safe in His arms. The days when I need some speaking to God provides. IMY means to me, “In My Time or my favorite, PMC “Patience my child.”
I cannot count how many times I have seen these three letter messages in the past few months. They are not on the same car and the numbers are always different. It seems these plates showed up every time I felt like losing my mind or when I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs. God speaks to everyone differently. Sometimes it’s bold and emotional. Sometimes it comes in quiet moments. Others see it in nature. For me it’s hidden messages which are bold displays from God meant to turn my emotional spirit towards His ways. Spend some time today to focus on how God may be talking to you. When and however God speaks we should listen. I am just thankful our God is a patient God. I am not sure how many times I have missed the messages.
