Expanding in space from a vast universe,
Is a kingdom wherein fair angels converse,
To spread their wings at God's commands,
Transforming their will to become His hands.

Rising in warmth beyond moon and stars,
A glorious plane in a world without wars,
Rapture and joy light a shimmering space,
No sorrow can reach such a heavenly place.

Above our earth there is great mystery,
A land we were promised before history,
God's heaven expanding with sinless light,
My throbbing spirit imagines the sight.

A world that holds no suffering or pain.
Pure as a dove and without sinful stain,
On gossamer wings I will glide and fly,
In spirit with God on the highest of high.

Into my soul I breathe God's air,
Inhaling scents so heavenly rare,
Exhaling my trust to secrets unknown,
Expelling transgressions all of my own.

Lead me on to heaven's expansion,
As there awaits in a golden mansion,
A magnificent room created for me,
To house my soul for eternity.

Your poem has a good flow and rhyme. I adore the subject matter. Today I sometimes hear people make fun of Christians for always looking forward to heaven. I think the images you described keep me going when things are too earthly around me. Thanks.
