Earth grumbling.*
The innocent are dying
Lawyers are lying.**
Woe unto them
And the corrupt judges who uphold them.
Children are being taken,
Our government shaken.
No more Golden Rule,
Gold rules.
TV news
Gives us the blues.
Movies show sex and use profanities***
Oh, vanity of vanities.
Doing things like that,
Asking themselves where You are at.
Fake smiles look sincere,
False prophets are here.
Ministries being born,
God called preachers are worn.
True preachers know what to say,
They don't look the other way.
God, You speak to us in Your Word
If we read these things, we have heard.
What will it take for us to wake?
Let us do our work for Your name's sake.
When others (or ourselves) sin
Help us to see the trouble we're in.
Take away our spirit of fears,
Help us stop our flow of tears.
Let us remember oftentimes
You are our help in troubled times.****
Help us be humble and pray
And turn from every wicked way.
Let us go to church and seek Your ways
There faith can brighten our days.*****
Thank You that You will hear from heaven
And heal us from the tragedies of September 11.******
