All officers in the vicinity
Of 35th and trinity...please respond
Silent alarms, activated at the mall
Three units in the area proceed
The sergeant in charge is in the lead
As the sergeant arrives at the scene
No sirens are heard, just flashing lights of blue-ish green
Moments later, two more units screech to a halt
Now they’re ready to begin their assault
Weapons drawn, moving toward the door
A man meets them there; They begin shouting get on the floor
As the man gets down; He screams “I’m the janitor, I have
I.D !”
The sergeant then said “ remove your tag then so I can see.”
With a shaking hand, he holds it out
The police officer said “ OK, You can get up” with a mild
shout
“ Now tell me son, what’s this all about?”
As the janitor began to speak. The police could hear a man
calling. But his voice was really weak.
They began moving toward the sound. And the janitor spoke
up and said “When I started to work this morning, this is
what I found..”
As they closed in on the noise; The sergeant said..
“I think we’ve got him, don’t you think so boys?’
As they looked over head. They did not draw their weapons,
but laughed instead.
A man had crawled through the AC vent with the intentions to
steal. As he crawled through the duct, the welds just went.
Boy, what a bad deal! Because there he hung by his waist, and
if he fell certain death is what he faced.
The police sergeant said to him “Son why are you up there?”
“What do you think I was up here for? I was a thief.” He
replied.
At this point he had nothing to hide.
The sergeant laughed and then replied. “What do you mean?
You are a thief!” The man then said “Please help me down!
I need some relief!
When the rescuers had his feet back on the ground. And the
sergeant had him good and bound. He asked the poor soul
“Son, why did you choose a career, that would flush your
life down the toilet bowl?”
The man then began to cry, and then answered with a sigh.
“Yes, I chose the wrong path. But at least now, I won’t have to
face God’s Wrath.”
The sergeant then asked him “what are you saying?”
The man replied that while he was hanging from the vent. That
he might fall, so he started praying.
As the police officer led him away.
The man said “ Thank you God for saving my soul, and then
my life.
“Excuse me officer, don’t I get one phone call? I need to call
my wife.”

This could benefit from some formatting into more conventional poetic form: rhymes at the ends of lines, for example, and lines with a metrical pattern.
It's got great promise, and I'd love to see it polished up a bit.
