Topic: FRUIT (05/26/22)
I find it interesting that whilst the world sees physical fruit which we all know is healthy and good for us, the Father looks for spiritual fruit in us. The Bible says that the fruits of the Holy Spirit are:

love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control (Galatians 5 v 22-23)

I like as well how the Father describes Himself as a Gardener as Jesus tells us He is My Father is the Gardener and he desires much fruit to bring him glory (paraphrased) from John 15 v 1-3.

Just as natural fruit takes time to grow and be cultivated and brought forth in harvest so too with spiritual fruit. For example no one tells you that when you pray for the fruit of patience that the Father Gardener takes you through a process often many years of tests and trials which involves you being made to WAIT and wait and wait!

None of the fruits of the Spirit just drop on our heads and we wake up one morning full of patience, or love or kindness or self control but rather different testing situations are brought to us so that these fruits can then be borne in us. The Father works into our characters these fruits. It is a painful process but very worth it in the end. Just like a Farmer has to sow seed, then toil in his fields, when he brings in the harvest he is satisfied.

Tip – the quicker you yield to the Father’s working out of this process the less painful and quicker this will be. That was a hard lesson learnt.

Another fruit is souls saved through salvation which is what Jesus died for in agony on the Cross.

Jesus desires for his soul to be satisfied for all his sufferings that he bore on the Cross for us (Isaiah 53 v 11)

He promises all who call out to Him will be saved (Romans 10 v 13) He also says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you shall be saved (Romans 10 v 9). Just call on Jesus today and tell him you believe in Him that he died for you and that you are sorry for your sins and need a Saviour, ask him into your heart and you shall be saved.

Another fruit is of the womb which God desires to bless us with is children.

What fruit are you praying for today? Fruit of the Holy Spirit or for souls of your loved ones to be saved or for a baby you long for? Jesus and the Father are ready and waiting to hear you cry out to them and you will be heard. Come to the Father today. He is longing to meet you with outstretched arms.

John 15 v 1-3

“I AM the true vine and my Father is the Gardener. He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the Word I have spoken to you”.

John 15 v 8

“This is to my Father’s glory that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples”.

Isaiah 53 v 11

After He has suffered, He will see the light of life and be satisfied; by His knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and He will bear their iniquities.

Romans 10 v 9

If you declare with your mouth “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved”

Romans 10 v 13

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”

Deuteronomy 28 v 4

“The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock – the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks”

I liked your take on the topic. It was interesting and you made some great points. Be aware of when you are quoting directly from Bible and paraphrasing. It was hard to differentiate. You could use end notes to reference the paraphrase and include the location of verse in the end. With direct quotes, make sure you include the translation you use as well. Be consistent with your punctuation too. You have a strong message and a good take on the topic.

A marvelous take on the result/outcome/sanctification/fruit of God's work in our lives-- as we serve and love Him and walk closer with Him-- through His Holy Spirit.
