A descriptive, reflective, and inviting devotional material

I like the cold, biting air of winter, but only if I know it will end with a warm cup of coffee or tea. This was a reflective piece of writing and I can imagine myself by the seaside in winter.

Just a note of caution. Some sentences were run on sentences. The sentences could have been easily made two sentences with the same clarity.

Good writing.
This is an interesting testimony. It is definitely on topic. If you tighten it up a bit and do more showing and less telling (for example, make the reader feel the cold air with body language--shivering, pulling coat around body, ducking head into chest to keep neck warm), thoughts, and dialog (whether talking to God or animals or other inanimate objects) could make this story pop even more. Go back and look at how many times you use the word I and then focus on how to restructure half of those sentences a bit. You have an excellent message here, and I could feel your passion. The ending was really profound and made me stop and think. Congratulations on ranking 6th in your level. The highest rankings can be found on the message boards.

A challenging perspective for us to have about life here on earth with hopes of eternity in Heaven.

I felt your chill but also the warmth of this message.
