I became the baby-sitter for three sisters and one brother, while my parents began to socialize more and more with new friends, they had met. No longer at home as much, it became my duty to cook and clean, making sure that things were kept in order, and my siblings were well cared for. As each of my siblings became of age, they took on the task that I had fulfilled.
At the age of seventeen I met the man; I would spend the rest of my life with. He was in the military when I first laid eyes on him, and one year later at age eighteen we were married. As with all newly weds we had our share of problems, each of us bringing baggage from our adolescence to our marriage.
I always dreamt that I would become a great writer, and have speaking engagements all over the world. The birth of a son two years after our marriage gave me the same feeling of being trapped as I did at home, held back from what I felt was my destiny
Little did I know that an appointment had been set up for me, to meet one who was to become my Lord and “Savior Jesus Christ.” At the age of twenty-five, I became a child of God. I no longer rely on myself, but have now put my life in the hands of one who cares of me! I am no longer held in bondage, but am free.

God Bless you~
You had a few little things that were distracting --a comma or semi-colon instead of the word that or who.
I think this was a lovely piece and you did a nice job bringing your message home without coming off as preachy.
