Three small letters;
Round with a small, alert tail.
A small dog.
Or sometimes,
An &
The dog sits up,
Smaller yet still alert.
You step in
Next to this dog
That sits up or stands
Alert like you.
A small space:
Just you, your small dog
At a midpoint
From where you turn:
Left then right,
Or perhaps, facing one side:
Before then beyond
then again-- left, right.
No matter where you’ve been.
Now, it is just this space,
This small dog waits.
You look left:
Light upon light.
You look right:
Dark upon dark.
You shift your weight,
Left foot, right foot,
In this space
Bound by infinites—
In this space so small
It is just a word
A breath too short,
Left, right
You turn: left, right
Your dog sits,
Stands, waits
For you to pivot,
Cross a single space,
One small step
Towards an infinite
Master.

I read it twice, and it's a clever poem, enjoyable to read...just a bit beyond me, I guess.
