I need Your specific words
Words that my father will hear
And I know that they will be right from You
I don't know what to say
I only know it hurts
To see my daddy slowly fade away
So maybe this time I'll speak the words of life
With Your fire in my eyes and Your Spirit in my life
But that old familiar fear is ripping apart my words
What am I so afraid of?
Because here I go again
Talking about the game
And contemplating over things that won't live past today
And as I skip over and around the truth
Time is not his friend
This might be my last chance to tell my daddy…
That You love Him
But here I go again mumbling about something that has no meaning.
Lord, You love him You gave Your only Son for him
If he will just believe in You He will never die
But how will he know what he has not seen mirrored in my life. This might be my last chance to tell him
that You love him
It is sometimes easy to evangelize to people in third world countries.
It is sometimes easy to evangelize to people in your neighborhood.
It gets a little harder when it comes to your friends.
But the hardest of all is when it comes to your family, especially immediate family.
What am I so afraid of?
Because how will he know if he has not seen it mirrored in my life.
My daddy needs to see Christ’s life mirrored in my life.
That is how I can evangelize to my daddy.
Cause I do want to live forever with my daddy.
I know he is stubborn.
I know he is pigheaded sometimes.
But why do people give up on him?
Why do they stop evangelizing to my father?
Why do some people pester him when he does show up on a Sunday morning or
Wednesday night or even a church picnic?
That is not evangelizing…that is sending him.
Does my daddy see Christ mirrored in their life? Does he see them as evangelizing to him or pushing him away further away from the truth? I can only look at myself in the mirror. I can only worry about what God is going to say to me when I am at the throne of the Almighty God! I can only worry about what is written in the Lamb’s book of Life about me. I hope it shows me mirroring Christ’s image for my dad but all around me. I pray that it shows me as an evangelizing woman of God. I pray I will be standing there right next to my father, due to my persistent evangelizing.
I love you, Daddy!

How very true this stanza is:
"It is sometimes easy to evangelize to people in third world countries.
It is sometimes easy to evangelize to people in your neighborhood.
It gets a little harder when it comes to your friends.
But the hardest of all is when it comes to your family, especially immediate family."
Godo work.
