Topic: Write an INSPIRATIONAL or DEVOTIONAL piece (04/26/07)
Let God write another chapter in your life

Does it seem as though you’ve come to the end of it all? Have you tried and tried everything, but to no avail? Are you weary trying to work things out, trying to make things happen? Do you feel like you have asked all the questions and knocked on all the doors? If you can identify with any of these statements above, I encourage you to let God write another chapter in your life. God’s word tells us in 1Peter5:7 to “cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us”. It was never God’s intention that we do it all alone. He invites us over and over again to become partners with Him. He said to draw nigh to Him and He would draw nigh to us. (James 4:8)We wear ourselves out when we try too hard to make things happen. God doesn’t want lazy people but He wants people who will depend on Him. When we go through life trying this and that, going through doors that God hasn’t even opened, our efforts bear no fruit or the fruit they bear doesn’t stay. We get so tired that we want to give up on everything. God is saying to you, “let me write another chapter in your life”, “allow me to walk by your side, talk to me and listen to what I have to say”. I encourage you; draw near to Him and experience great abundance the remaining years of your life.

This really touched me today. I feel like you wrote this to me -- or about me.

And it was written so straightforward and simple. When someone is struggling and needing a message like this, it's nice not to have to wade through long phrases and big words.

Thank you for this simple, yet powerful, message. Guess I'll let God start writing in my book. :)
