Wears feelings on her shoulder.
When she is up in arms, it is
Amazing to behold her.
The times she has a bad-hair day,
Her nose gets out of joint,
And she will be beside herself
Until she makes her point.
Because her skin’s so very thin,
Her flesh can sometimes crawl,
And often when her blood’s on boil,
She’ll drive you up the wall.
Occasions when she lets off steam—
That’s how she blows a fuse—
She gives a piece of mind away
Then suffers with the blues.
When she’s not going through the roof
And not at her wit’s end,
She does not go bananas then
With manners on the mend.
And if she has a change of heart,
Returned to its right place,
You’ll know because her feelings will
Be written on her face.
She takes her foot out of her mouth
And tries to get a grip.
Her seams won’t come apart if she
Just buttons up her lip.
She wants to keep a level head,
But it’s not screwed on straight.
The mind she’d wrap around a thing
Is sadly a clean slate.
For every time she falls in love,
Her feelings are euphoric.
Her stomach fills with butterflies;
It’s good they’re not caloric.
She walks on clouds; she’s tickled pink,
On air and starry eyed.
She’s thrilled to bits to the degree
Her tongue is tightly tied.
And as her feelings fluctuate,
Each mood as she goes through it,
Conchita the Contortionist
Pours all her heart into it.
