A truth that he won’t tell
She has determination that
She’ll know that truth as well
Seductively she smiles at him
Invites him to draw near
Sweet words she spills from reddened lips
The words he wants to hear
Dusky perfume on her throat
Scented flesh she flaunts
With every measured posture she
His resolution taunts
Hot she blows, he can’t resist
He’s caught in her embrace
But of the secret that he holds
Surrenders not a trace
She pouts and pushes him aside
A cold and icy glare
She turns her head and tosses back
Her dark and lustrous hair
“If you loved me…” hurt she says
“You’d share your heart with me
Secrets there would never be
Just pure transparency.”
She twists his conscience with her words
She weeps and so he yields
His hair, his strength, and when he sleeps
The scissors then she wields
His downfall was a pretty girl
Delilah was her name
Her beauty was her armoury
Betrayal was her game
Beware Delilah, Samson boy
Just turn and walk away
Her lips a trap, her arms a cage
Don’t with Delilah play
