I see you trapped in your cold, brick world. You feel surrounded on all sides. Harsh, rough, and immovable, the walls seem to press in around you. You are looking around and see no escape. The sky hides in the dark alley. You seem so sad.
Look at me. Do you see me down here at the end of your alley? I know I do not look like much. I am old and cracked in places. The lovely handles that once graced my face are now gone, though their imprint still remains. The large brass buttons along my brow and neckline were so beautiful once. Someone painted them over a long time ago, and now the weather has ravaged my beauty. See the padlock up here. It used to keep me all locked up so that no one could enjoy the secrets behind me. However, that is not so anymore.
Come closer. There is a little streak of light shining through here. Peek in through this hole. Do you see it? A soft blanket of green awaits you. Feel that soothing warm breeze playing with your hair. Do you want to come in for a while? Go ahead. One more step and you will be in.
Close me behind you, and you will find in the stillness a peace you felt was gone forever. Drink it in. Does the sun not feel lovely as it caresses your shoulders? Let the scents of lavender and roses waft over you. Take a deep breath. Do you like that?
It is all right. Explore away. There are such exquisite treasures hidden here just for you. Take your time. Can you hear that tinkling sound? Just beyond that tree, you will find a water fountain springing joyfully, splashing its hands to the sky. There is even a soft hammock hung nearby just for you. Would you like to lay here for a little while and enjoy the wonder of this little hide-away?
I will stand guard for you. Nothing will interrupt your quiet time. No one will even know you are here. It will be our little secret. I know that soon you will have to go back to your cold, brick world. You can come back as often as you wish – day or night. The garden is yours from now on. For now, just relax. Enjoy! Soak it all in, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. (Paraphrased from Phil. 4:7 - NIV)

Yes, I do. That is how you made me feel about the garden, reminding my that my time with Him is just like that. Why I ever get distracted... I loved your something different. :)
