No alarm was needed to wake up Christy Collins on her wedding day, but she had set it any way as part of her nightly routine. Christy had been awake for hours in gleeful anticipation of the coming day. As she lay on her pink satin comforter in her candy striped bedroom, she mentally checked off her carefully orchestrated plans, one by one.
“Today, I marry the most wonderful man in the world! Josh is perfect for me!” Christy exuded to her snow white Persian cat, Tinker Belle. “You are going to love having Josh live with us, Tinker. And wait until you meet Boomer. He is the nicest dog ever!”
Tinker Belle looked skeptically at Christy from her customary place in the middle of the bed. If Tinker thought otherwise, she kept her opinion to herself.
Christy donned the robe and slippers that she had carefully placed at the foot of the bed. Following her mistress, Tinker padded down the hallway to her food bowl in the corner of the kitchen. Christy carefully measured out Tinker’s organic cat food and placed it on the “Cats Rule – Dogs Drool” placemat next to a tiny bowl of fresh water.
For her own breakfast, Christy removed the blender from its designated spot and added fruit, wheat germ and nonfat milk. “Yum!” she trilled, as she tidied up the kitchen. Just three hours to the wedding and Christy had reserved a whole hour for a luxurious bubble bath and make up!

Across town, in the bachelor pad that he shared with his best friend, Josh Duggin was hitting the snooze button on his alarm clock for the third time. In total exasperation at his master’s unresponsiveness, his jet black Labrador retriever, Boomer, laid two enormous paws on Josh’s chest and barked loudly.
“Okay! Okay! I’m up! Knock it off, Boomer!” Josh got out of bed, pulling on his jeans. “I don’t know why Christy wanted to have this wedding so early in the day.”
Josh tossed a pillow at his snoring roommate. “Hey, Gary, get a move on. We’ve got to be at the Church in an hour.”
Hearing a groggy response, Josh ambled to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. Spying a pizza box on the top shelf, he pulled out two slices of the meat lover’s special.
“One for me and one for you, pal,” Josh said to Boomer. “Cold pizza…the breakfast of champions.”
“Hey, Boomer,” Josh added, as he gulped down his breakfast, “You’re going to love living with Christy. She is the greatest woman in the world! Perfect for me! And you’ll really like that Tinker Belle. She’s a charmer!”
Josh headed to the shower! He’d have to hussle to get to the church on time!

The two guardian angels perched on the loft railing of the packed church enjoying a bird’s eye view of the ceremony. They had become fast friends since their charges met years ago in Sunday school.
“Well, looks like we will be seeing a lot more of each other from now on,” said Avner.
“That’s putting in mildly,” grinned Yanni. “We’ll be roommates. Hope you like spoiled cats with green eyes.”
“Are you referring to Tinker Belle?” laughed Avner.
“One and the same! I imagine we’ll be running interference between her and Boomer.”
“That will be the least of our problems. Josh and pink satin…I don’t think so! And wait until he realizes that double bacon cheeseburgers are a part of his past.”
“Well, this will be no walk in the park for Christy either,” chuckled Avner. “ She is a great little morning person, always has been! I love watching her wake up with a smile on her face and a song in her heart. But, that Josh…well, he comes alive right about the time Christy is ready for bed.”
“Yep,” said Yanni. “Don’t I know it! We’ll definitely have our work cut out for us. You know , Avner, I would never doubt the Master.”
“No! Never!” agreed his fellow angel.
“I know His plans are perfect in every way. But this one sure has me stumped!”

“And now I present to you,” boomed the minister. “Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Duggin, now one in the eyes of God!”
The wedding guests applauded, the angels shook hands and heaven smiled.
Go, figure… thought Yanni, scratching his wings, as he and Avner followed the jubilant couple down the aisle.

Well done!
If I were to give one suggestion, it'd be to reduce your use of exclamation points, especially in the narration. It's almost always better to trust strong nouns and verbs to convey your emotion.
This story is a real charmer.
I enjoyed your writing style - great job - you won't be in level one for long!
