___The road was paved with sorrow and shame,
____“K i n g_ o f_ t h e_ J e w s” was to be slain,
_____Crowds pressed in to condemn the man,
______Who was blameless before time began.
_________B L A C K was my soul
_________From the sin and guilt
_________Of killing an innocent lamb
_________A bridge was now built
_________C R I M S O M E Blood
_________Was shed that day
_________A most costly price
_________He was willing to pay
_________Saving me from sin
_________That set me free
_________At the cross it lay
_________For all of mankind to see
_________W H I T E and Pure
_________Clean as new fallen snow
_________No longer condemned
_________For horrors untold
_________G R E E N for Eternal Life
_________If I accepted the gift as was given
_________Nothing to do but to be forgiven
______A splash of colors, a warm embrace
_______Await my presence in the pearly gates
______No longer the darkness and cries of pain
_______His sacrifice was great and erased my stain
______Nothing but beauty, the ashes replaced
_______With Streets of gold and a brand new place

I'm not sure if the lines before were to help the spacing. It distracted me slightly. I know there us a HTML code so that you can center your poems. If you go to the FAQ on the message boards, I think there is a thread that tells how to do all of those neat things.
I think your take on the topic was quite creative and fresh. You also told the best story ever told with such delightful rhythm. Your message of hope is a great one.
