It's amazing the damage that anger and bitterness cause. I'm so glad there's hope at the end, that chooses to learn and forgive.

Wow! Your writing skills shine through despite the tone of this piece. Your one word ending is perfect...that's what it comes down to --for all of us.
Such a sad legacy for a daughter. I like the way you showed some hope at the end, and your last word said it all. Excellent writing.

Wow, this is heavy and sad. At the same time, it is the brilliance in the writing that makes it so. Only a master could pull something like this off. Just breathtaking.

This sent the message home. I felt like I wanted more description of her surroundings for some reason, I don't know why, maybe because of the beautiful way you described the hospital room and the sheet, and his cap over his eyebrows.

So sad, but I love that the daughter was able to rise above the pain and break the cycle of silence & bitterness. Truly an inspiration to those that may be trapped in that same sad scenario. Loved it!
