She reached out to her husband, “baby come dance with me.”
He couldn’t believe his eyes. Is this a trick?
His wife danced before him as if she’d never been sick.
He blinked once, then twice
Yes, this thing is real,
Hallelujah to God - his wife had been healed.
Her body made whole after thirteen long years
There were many nights of pain, desperate prayers and tears
He took her outstretched hand, then took her in his arms
He cradled her gently not wanting to cause harm
She gave him a reassuring squeeze
Her healing was complete
She wanted to dance
He wanted to sweep her off her feet
Healed and delivered from sickness
Set free from the prison of bed
He drew her closer and kissed the top of her head
God answered his prayers and gave him back his wife
Praise the Lord they could get on with their life
God had turned her mourning into dancing
He gave her beauty for ashes
She didn’t utter a word
Just gave him a coy glance
They would exchange pain that night
For a night of romance
