some poor are rich!
By what standard is this true?
Man's reasoning oft contradicts
So God's Word needs strict review!
There has never been a U-Haul
That's followed behind a hearse.
All of one's earthly possessions
End up in another's purse.
Nothing on earth that we strive for
Can bring a man lasting peace,
The joys of Heaven outweigh all --
for earthly things -- they will cease!
All the wealth accrued on this earth
Won't count in Eternity!
"Saved ones," now lacking a fortune,
Great riches in Heav'n will see!
At death, you take nothing with you.
All you've earned you leave behind.
The Christian goes on to Heaven
Where rewards from God He'll find!
Yet, even now, on this dark earth
We know rich treasure galore...
God's peace and guidance and great joy.
We need ask for nothing more!
So what is the wise choice to make?
How foolish to live for Today!
Start laying up Heaven'ly treasure --
Be rich! 'Tis the only way.
