You remember riding the bus in the 6th grade and being terrified of sitting near the back row because you knew thats where the bullies lurked and waited for your arrival. You probably put up with them or blocked them out. Anything to make the ride go by quicker.
But the real bullies in our life are those things that try to keep us from fulfilling God's desires in our life.

The devil is our number one bully without a doubt. He will use circumstances and people to try to steer us away from the path God has set before us. We often let bullies in our lives that we dont even realize. But we have to start recognizing them if we are to fight them. Because you can not fight what you can't see. God did not call us to be like Steve Urkel and tolerate being bullied around day in and day out. He made us to stand in the face of our bullies and to defeat them. The bible does state clearly in Romans 8:37 “We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” Whether our bully is lust, anger, jealousy, laziness or one of the many other things we struggle with. God wants us to recognize that bully in our life and to defeat it by the power He has given us. If you remain the pushover kid in the back of the bus in your spiritual life, you will be eaten alive.

It is time that we find our weaknesses, because those are the areas our bully will attack us. He is a coward, he will never attack you in an area in which he knows you are grounded and strong. God does not desire for us to cower in fear and cast our eyes down in defeat when our bully attacks. Instead, we should put on God's armor, and tell our bullies to "Bring it on!"
