We even talked about which one of us; we become the frist lady president. We would take our polls on whom most likely to be the successor. Such in depth visions and prespective for our youthful, and elementary school minds. This passage in my life would be a very crucial time for me. In the molding and shaping of the direction my life was going to lead. I will share this with all of you, I was not a very out spoken child. But among my friends I could speak freely and openly. This is attributed to my father’s strict military rearing.
Also I brought up in my parent’s old school philosophy, children are seen and not heard. Don’t speak until your spoken to, this left little or nearly no room for self-expression. It has taking me many years, to clearly understand my parents did the best the knew how to raise my four siblings and me up. With these guidelines and rules passed down form generation to generation. I do forgive them for the really tight reign on my, elementary school days, and my forming ideas of being a mild mannered child.
I always tried not to rock the boat, in my daily life; by being in the background some might say like a wallflower. I learned early in life, how to develop an inner world, through writing, and reading of course always great lover of the outdoors. My passion for the art’s and enthusiastic about music. I truly believe these were gifts, from the Lord to help me endure, all of the heavy hardships so early in my life. My parents eventually did divorce; this was a very upsetting time to go through.
This placed a hardship on my mom, rasing five children alone; my dad would come around now and then. But honestly I can’t recall many family times together with my father and mother together. So I had to grieve this family unit seperation, and create a new world for me get through this life challenge. The Lord placed a few great friends, in my elementary school life. A lot of caring and instructive teacher’s, who became my brother’s, and sister, and my mentor’s. I was very blessed, to have strong supportive family members to help my mother, and us children with food, clothing also with school supplies.
I can recall many fun times, on sleep over at my friend’s house; we would study our lessons for the upcoming week. We always had to have our deep introspective talks about world matters for a child viewpoint. The there was the great deserts the banana splits, or root beer floats, or other treats. We got to stay up as late as we wanted, I’m so grateful for these memorable moments to look back on. This gave me a life balance, instead of just being laden with so many heavy issues at such a young age. I had to grow up very fast to be able to with stand, the intense life trial and challenges, which after my elementary school years which did follow. My closing comment is I didn’t become the frist women president. I did’nt transform the order of the governmental policies. I can say my life achievement, has been being part of the family of God.
I’m in the right place in my life today, in the blessed beauty of the artic wilderness. Sharing my life’s testimony with as many people as possible. Glory be to God in the highest. I will pray daily for all my brother’s and sister’s, in Jesus Christ. That all will have his heavenly light shining on all, of your life’s paths. Love and life blessings to all, who are a part of this wonderful family of God. ( Our God reigns eternally Amen).
