The signs are clear, the day is near, there’s not so long to go;
Today’s the day to heed His voice, decide what you must do—
That you should hear with open ear’s my fervent hope for you.
For Jesus said to walk in light lest darkness overtake,
To love the truth, to bear good fruit, be watchful and awake,
To guard against the prowling wolf no matter what the cost,
To warn and teach, in love beseech so no one would be lost.
It’s plain to me the day is near of Jesus Christ’s return
To take His own to Father’s throne for which His people yearn;
I plead with all who read or hear to hasten to repent—
Don’t hesitate, procrastinate or think to circumvent.
For Jesus said this day would come like labour pains pre birth,
Just like a thief this day of grief would steal up on the earth;
This promised day approaching, for believers holds no fears—
I urge you all to heed the call—the day of judgement nears.
There’s imminence and urgency to that which I attest
As faith declines and signs of times become more manifest;
Please don’t downplay the things I say or my earnest plea discount,
It’s up to you to think it through—The issue’s paramount.
For when you stand on judgement day before the great “I Am”
What sets you free is that you plead the shed blood of The Lamb;
Through Him alone your sin’s atoned and He’s your sure defence,
No blame is laid, the price is paid—Let eternity commence!
