Variety of living things,
The plants that rise from fertile ground,
The vast array of sight and sound
Then my soul in gladness sings.
I know these things are not by chance
But by a loving hand were wrought—
The stars that light the sky’s expanse
Did not arrive by happenstance
Nor were they some afterthought.
In all of nature God is praised,
His works exalt Him everywhere;
I never cease to be amazed
When evolution’s lies are raised—
Such a theory of despair.
But we are not of those who tout
That random chance usurps design;
The evidence is all about—
A little child could figure out,
Behind it is a hand divine.
May God be praised by all His own
Let saints throughout the world arise—
Let’s make His wondrous works be known
And His word of truth be sown—
Let us counteract the lies.
