I cast my vote to whom I’m keen to know.
Hear my conscience, litmus test will show.
No, not him! Not him!
He campaigns like Ludwig Karl Grimm
Runs on fairy tales, stories of long ago.
Election season calls us to be
discerning to choose the right One to sit.
We choose
who values
His honour to keep a better world of the free.
We test ourselves truthful this time of year.
Be honest, pure so we see who’s fit in power.
Who has resolve
Who’s truthful
To the Law that sets right to rule and order.
Elect our representatives as we measure
Our winning candidate of truthful character--
Principles,
Honest. No scruples
About moral grounds on uprightness.
We speak words that stand the test of time in every way.
So does the One we choose on Election Day.
Truthfulness,
Faithfulness.
Are profound tools to ask God who to vote when we pray.
How is your candidate’s decorum
When he faces a roomful of people or in a podium?
Is he fearful?
Politically correct?
Or are his policies and probity reliable and relevant?
Election season calls us to be
True in discerning who’s the right One to honour his victory.
We choose
who values
His honour, his integrity keeping a better world in peace.
As Election season approaches for all its worth
We express to God in all honesty and truth
May we be
In good faith
Sovereignty of our King whom He chooses the honour.
