In construction terms, it is rock-solid
For it was built to eternally last
A firm foundation like no other
All others, it will forever outlast
It was built as a chief cornerstone
Vastly different from all others
The shell was of flesh and blood
Inside, it was love for one another
This cornerstone was of heavenly rock
Descending down as a mortal man
His ministry lasted three short years
While meekly teaching God’s holy plan
This solid rock exudes His love
Like a shining beacon of heavenly light
It’s power is released to His children
As against darkness, they daily fight
His children depend on this rock
For their sustenance and their need
This rock is always waiting there
When in despair, their heart bleeds
This solid rock is a firm foundation
On which their faith they can build
As Jesus listens to their prayers
Making sure their needs are fulfilled
This rock is the Great Jehovah
Upon Him your faith you must build
Other rocks are but hay and stubble
Constantly crumbling, they always will
A foundation is there for construction
There is only one you must choose
Our Savior will stand for all eternity
Choose the other you eternally lose
