The light of this world flicker and die—
Its embers from its fire snuff out the shine
From rugged hills of life,
From dwelling places
of love, hope and faith—
darkens the pathways of truth and godliness.
The lamp of this world flicker on men’s creed,
Religions of beliefs , platitudes of words that bleed.
Men’s strides are short-lived
Women’s gait are without grace and rhythm.
They devise evil, trip and fall, their ways are wicked.
Walk in the Light, Yeshua, the Messiah says
For your feet may stumble on meshes and tangled snares
of net and web of confusion
from wandering delusion.
Walk in the Light—in Truth— see the ground where pitfalls lay.
In this world, there is darkness to trap us by the heels.
To grab, enslave, hold, hide and let pitfalls lie in wait.
When terrors overwhelm
on every side about our feet.
Stand our ground, follow the Light as Yeshua leads.
Walk in the Light courageous, humble and meek
Arrogant leaders think it’s theirs to run and stench it with fear.
Seek Him,
Follow all His ways,
We will see the light of days His face on us with grace and peace.
Walking in the Light precedes joy and gladness
for God’s children in this world around a mess
That revile you,
Lie about you.
Follow Him, O, His covenant people of promise.
Walk in the Light, His Presence is kind and gracious,
slow to anger, full of mercy and truth.
Let us shine His light,
His Word our delight
To do His will to love, to fill the world with hope of His coming!
In God’s world — even the darkness —
It all began when He shined His Light and wisdom.
When He filled the world
Left no room void.
As His Word goes forth like heaven’s light on earth.
Walking in the Light, we go out with joy
Make for peace, gentleness as we come and go in life—
in the rugged hills
mounts of trials
The Light of Yeshua bursts out into songs of praises.
