deeply and utterly aware
of the company I keep
the situation I am put in
the places I go to
Sometimes my world
is like a new wine
with so called new ideas
presented in novelty
trying to suffocate me
Unless I become a new
wineskin
to avoid being burst
I must transform the wine
without conforming to it
At times the world
behaves like new wineskins
and attempt to ensnare
me with strange unusual ideas
but I must resist it like the new wine
I must become a new wine
to this environment
adapting to the ever
challenging wineskins
not confirming but transforming
To be part
of Your divine tapestry
help me to be just a piece of
of Your grand jigsaw
fulfilling my given role
Being a partaker
of Your new wine
I want to draw strength
from Your Spirit
and wisdom from above
Grant me fresh breeze
and creative ways
that come only from
imbibing Your new wine
that I may impact the world
