1. Emily: An art history enthusiast who appreciates the finer details in life, claims that ancient aliens influenced famous Renaissance paintings. She stated, "It's all based on historical documents and research."
2. Mike: A software engineer with a penchant for conspiracy theories, always delves deeply into them. He scoffed at Emily's supposed facts.
3. Lisa: A biology major who values scientific facts above all else, sincerely wants to stick to facts, not speculation. She intended to research Emily's claim.
4. Max: A journalist and skeptic, is always searching for a good story. He is curious about theories and wants to find out where they lead.
5. Sarah: A librarian with a deep love for books and history, believes she has heard all the theories about aliens and art.
Their discussion took a turn when Max (after researching the subject of ancient aliens) said, "Emily, you are right! There is indeed a historical document that hints at alien involvement in art. There might be a hidden truth."
Sarah: (surprised) "Really? I can't believe I've never heard of this."
Emily: (triumphant) "See, sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction."
Lisa said, "Well, I have heard much about aliens recently."
Max: (researching further) "Lisa, you might be onto something."
Mike had nothing to say.
In that scenario, at the Roasted Bean, we see what the world tells people. They will never come to the Truth (Jesus) without knowing or believing what the Word says.
Honestly, there is unseen involvement in art. But aliens, no, fallen angels are present as influencers. Their duty is to turn people from the truth, so they mascarade as aliens to pull people into error.
The power of curiosity and open-mindedness can lead to truth, but without a Biblical basis, error grows. Irony prevails as the friends, initially skeptical and dismissive, embrace the truth when they discover that actual Biblical reality surpasses their assumptions. Then, conversations among peers lead to an ongoing journey of learning, where the triumph of truth transcends ignorance.
Today, we see the world at war. It is, as always, those who do not want to know God fight to destroy His people. They are ultimately against God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit. What does His Word tell us? Look here at Micah 4:11,12 (NKJV):
"Now also many nations have gathered against you,
Who say, 'Let her be defiled,
And let our eye look upon Zion.'
But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD,
Nor do they understand His counsel;
For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor."
This theme is repeated again and again in the Bible. The greatest irony here is that God's enemies seek to destroy His people, but they are the ones whom He will destroy. Glory to God!
