a road that’s less travelled
many choose the easy road
strewn with palatable promises
and instant gratifications
I have found an ancient path
Let me return to this ancient path
which gives true meaning
and clear direction to life
with no regrets and heartaches
Let me not depart
or stray from it
it’s my ancestors’ path
tried and tested
yet never give up
It’s the narrow way
that leads to life
and gives purpose
and true meaning
I eagerly desire
The Guide to this path
lead me on
since You once walked
this path while on earth
You show the way ,the truth, and the life
I want to follow the way
that I may have the going
I want to know the truth
that I may have the knowing
and the life for my living
Give me wisdom to make wise choices
Give me discernment to know the truth
in the seas of fakes and falsity
Give me the passion to pursue love
never mind the mindless coldness and callousness
Help me fix my eyes on You
no matter what
benefits or blessings
that come in disguise
for I know whom I’ve believed
