Sojourner, Is it all about you?

You’ve taken on the venture
The story of your life
Stories with whom
You’ve crossed paths
The tracks you’ve caught up
You’ve walked the primrose path
Of plenty and pleasures
Unchallenged
Gratified
Sometimes disillusioned
You’ve climbed your mountaintops
Alone.

It’s become all about you
You hold the torch in full beam
In this sojourn
I had shown you
Your propelled dream
I had put in your heart
I protected it
Cherished it.
They’re your own, too
My gift to you
To nurture
and make good of it
Instead, you chose to set out
On earth’s byways
Alone.

You’ve driven
You’ve raced
sped up
Screeched your tires
Beyond My required limit
Your existence, you clamor
“It’s all about me,”
My, neighbors, who’re they?”

The wheels of life’s quests
Trajectory on point
Hit the thoroughfare
On course of no return
Some narrow ginnels
Long passage ways
Some are tunnels
Towards the destiny I paved.

Haven’t I shown you, before, O, man?
Haven’t I led you
to what is good?
I’ve paved the way for you
On places I’ve sealed My Name
I only require you
In this pilgrimage
That you act justly
To every one you meet
to love mercy
To do kindness
And to walk humbly
With Me, your God
Which I’m pleased, by the way,
Whenever you call My Name
To hear My voice
To instruct you
Which way to go
You read the roadmap
The guideposts
Markers
Stop signs
In some dark dirt-road ahead.

Sometimes,
You remember
And see
That you’re not alone.

I’ve chosen for you
To take the high road
With your wealth
Successes
Happiness
Prosperity,
Your children
Your loved ones,
They’re Mine
My gifts to you
To propel you to do good.

I provide you
Milk, manna and honey
From your life’s work
Sweat and determination
You have much oil to pour out
Into your jars and storehouse.
For tomorrow you might take the
Freeway again, you are ready.

Like I said, Go your way
I will order your steps
In all your paths
Observe to do
as I have commanded you
Remember
To not turn aside
To the right hand or to the left.

Will you keep your eye
On the road?
Your left or your right
are a reality—
Your children have
Turned to the wayside
Have chosen the hard way,
Dissuaded by the unprincipled,
Corrupt, crooked, confused
and by the reprobate.
Stand still
For tomorrow you will fight
And your children
will see salvation.

I know all about the powers-that-be
The manacles of My broad free way
They will have their end
To the lost and not return.

Do not be discouraged.
Lawlessness come to
distract you
From the walk
From the direction
Which I, Yahweh your God, has
Instructed you.

Trust Me
And live
I am with you
and I will prolong your days
to the destination
which I give to you
To possess.

Do you see now?
Do you understand?
Step up the gears I have provided you.

You will encounter mediocrity
Beaten paths.

Tiresome bogs
And road hogs
All too frequented
Roadblocks
Road kills
Confusion
Hellholes swarmed by
Vicious creatures of darkness
without direction
Lawless
Devour.

Take the high ground
The way I show you.
Today is an end
A closure.
But the beginning
There's Light through to the end
To a passage way
Of your strength
I will renew your courage
Observe
And follow My Roadmap
The words from My mouth
There is Life in them
My Instructions
I have put in your heart--
My Law, My Holy Spirit
In Me, I have kept you safe
All this time
That have crowned you
With traveling mercies
And grace
Wherever you go.

In this life
In which you journey
Don’t lose sight.
It’s Me
All about Me
I lead the way.

Come closer, and
Walk with Me?
