Covid-19 and civil unrest have been wreaking havoc with the general mood and attitude of America. Here in "the land of the free," historically speaking, America has been known has the land of opportunity where people could find happiness and satisfaction. Life has always been better here in comparison to other nations; that's because our people could expect to "live the good life," "get a piece of the pie," live out their business and home owning dreams and dwell in peace.

It seems these notions and heartfelt beliefs have become mere memories with the onset of this global pandemic and worldwide societal distress and upheaval.

But, this country was founded on Christian views and values. It was intended that our citizens would find countless reasons to become patriots of America, but even more importantly, that America would live under the Ordinances of our Lord God; knowing that Jesus IS the only reliable way to true happiness and contentment. That was the whole reason the pilgrims migrated to the "New World,"( rather than the New World Order we are heading toward now!) This land of ours was seen as great, and was great, but not only due to our policies of freedom and democracy, but also the freedom to worship God; born from the innate longing to know Christ.

Now that America's face has been altered so drastically, many are finding it incredibly difficult or even impossible to find any meaningful, lasting joy or satisfaction in this earthly life.
This is a reminder that joy comes from the Lord and His Holy Spirit and He can and does bring that joy to individuals, anywhere in the world when they Worship Him.

And this is also a call for the fight against American depression; for all believers to stay strong in the Lord. I pray that all believers continue smiling, laughing and enjoying every blessing; both big and small, not because we're Americans, but because we are followers of Christ.

I believe "has" in the third line should be "as". Your content is true: we need to keep upbeat.

Amen! If it were not for the Lord, we would be lost. He is able to show us good through all of this turmoil.
