What can you do to save a home that others want to close?
The news was like a bomb shells blast. A home named Bethany, after the home that welcomed Jesus and his disciples whenever they were near Jerusalem.
The home had started in our home over 40 years earlier when the first four orphans arrived.
Since then near 300 children have passed through Bethany.
We were shocked at the news. The organization servicing the home was pulling out and had no plans for the kids living there now. The youngest, two and five years old had recently come from a family where the father sat in prison and the mother was a drug addict. They had no place to go.
Amazingly, God had prepared a way. A name of a person came up. We contacted him asking for prayer and advice. He was ready to help.
The old organization sent information of the demands set out for the new organization. The new one should be able to prove their ability and registration papers showing their organization would be legally fit to take over the work. Everything should be ready by the end of the month – within two weeks!
God had the pieces ready, He is fitting them together in His way.
The Home will still be a place where Jesus is WELCOME in the form of a child.

God's provisions are amazing.
I thought if we got to know one of the children at the Bethany home, it would have invoked more emotions.
I really appreciate all of your efforts to help the children at Bethany.
What a blessing you must be to the people who walk through your doors.
Jesus said it first: "Let the little children come unto me."
