Topic: CHALLENGE (08/17/17)
Months have gone by and the news I won’t hear.
The bickering, the fighting, the hatred, the fear.
The time seems no more when different voices say their peace.
The right and the left, common sense now has ceased.

Big babies they are crying “I want my say”!
"Just listen to me, can’t you see it my way”?
“I’m sure that I’m right and your voice doesn’t count”.
Deep inside people’s hearts, the clouds start to mount.

Foundations were lost through the passing of time.
The right and the wrong, no longer the rhyme.
The 60’s, the 70’s, the 80’s and more.
Somehow have forgotten that its God who keeps score.

They compromised an inch and a mile was achieved.
They now are recipients of the choices conceived.
We know there’s forgiveness from a God full of love.
Through Jesus, the Savior who was sent from above.

What blind eyes can’t see, is He’s Lord and He’s King.
He’s coming again and will heal everything .
To those who accept Him, to those who submit.
Have a seat up in Heaven where their Savior will sit.

And those who reject Him have a much different fate.
They’ll be living forever outside Heaven’s gate.
Forever in torment , with screams of pure pain.
Where fire and brimstone will be falling like rain.

The challenge I find is how to turn it around .
When morality is vacant and Truth is not found.
When hearts have been hardened and blind eyes can’t see.
Will they ever know Jesus and what it's like to be free?

So I live now each day saying “Thy will be done”.
Help me my Father to live like Your Son.
To not get consumed with affairs of the State.
And only to ponder, what You’ve put on my plate.

I wish people could have honest discussions with each other, but I think political correctness gets in the way sometimes.

This is a good (accurate) commentary on the things of today. We have to be careful we don't get deceived by the politically correctness of today. We must draw closer to Jesus by learning more of how he commands us to live.
