Oh I loved this, but I am a suckered for a good poop story. You had me chuckling throughout the whole story. Just be a bit careful about being realistic. Some of the dialog and actions didn't sound authentic. For example instead try something like this:"What? Dying? Don't be silly. Why do you think you're dying? "
"Look!" Mark's cheeks turned pink as he pointed to the toilet. "My poop! It's a funky green color and looks kinda fuzzy too. Plus it just floats there. It won't go down when I flush! And can't you smell it? It smells like something dead. Dead and green!"
Okay I went a bit overboard to show you what I meant. (Sorry, I get carried away when it comes to a good poop story.)
Tweak it up a bit and make it a bit less dramatic and the child's age a bit younger, and I think you could have a great children's picture book story. I'm working on one I started 20 years ago and wrote down for the first time in one of my first challenges. I have changed it a lot over the years, but it still remains one of my favorites and many of the kids' (who now have their own kids) favorites too. Your story has some nice science both about mixing colors and what happens to food (or drinks). Keep working at it. I really loved it. I think you have a great sense of humor. This has the foundation of a truly great poop story!

I'm sure glad they got to the "bottom" of this foul situation!

I chuckled all the way through and suspected the solution to the mystery would involve food or drink. I couldn't stop reading though...or laughing.
