I fight.
My fist in your face as the blood spurts
My knee in your stomach
Jerks you over in fear and pain.
Hatred swells and the chains tighten around my heart.
I fight. The sword falls.
Your head rolls.
What have I left but guilt and shame.
And you have nothing.
I live by the sword, I die by the sword.…Matt. 26:53
I write.
The words of life.
Fill your mind.
Becoming yours.
My pen, a tongue, speaks.
Writes on your heart
The words of life.
You believe.
What have I now but joy and peace.
And you have everything.
And they overcame by the word of their testimony….
He speaks,
The Living Word
Written forever on the hearts of men.
He dies.
A violent cross
Forever changes history.
His heart they pierce
Cruel nails in feet and hands.
Away with Him!
They do not know
They crucified
The Living Word.
He shouts throughout the ages,
It is finished.
His Spirit and His Word.
The Sword by which He speaks,
Triumphant in the hearts of men
Who aren’t afraid to die.
And they did not love their lives to the death…..
