That He would fill me up with His grace.
I arose to answer His beck and call
He invited me into a special place.
I never felt so full as then
Not knowing how God could make me complete
But, His beckoning helped me to empty my cup
Then I raised it from my place at His feet.
He started to make my cup overflow
That meant it had surpassed being full
He knew how empty I had been all along
My heart toward Him, He began to pull.
All the emptiness that had plagued me so long
Faded as the overflow washed over me.
I was so full of my wonderful Father, God
That never again empty would I be.
But, I soon realized that I had a part
In keeping my cup flowing over the rim
To be able to be full and living content
I had to be constantly filled with Him.
