Art happens in life, daily. Art is all around us if we open our eyes and our hearts to its potential and its intensity. Art is using our God given gifts to tell the stories of God and mankind so lives are altered for eternity. Musicians call it soul. Newspapers refer to it as courage. Critics identify it as heart wrenching. Moviegoers permit their tears to flow in response to it. We are inspired by art. Art makes us laugh. Art terrifies us. Art informs us. Art brings bright lights, color and action into our lives. Art motivates us to change our ways while loving the person we were created to be. Art reveals the hero in each of us.

The ultimate tragedy is the sins of mankind. The ultimate expression of love is Jesus hanging on the cross. The ultimate irony is that life comes from death. The ultimate victory is the empty tomb of Christ. We do well to re-tell these stories in the parables of human interactions. We do even better to follow Jesus example and be the art appearing in flesh and blood.
Art is the electron of passion shattering the atom of technique to move mankind an inch closer to the heart of God.
