Where is the Spark?

Beethoven…

I rise before sunup.
Breakfast each day at dawn to sup
Waste little time for tea,
I make my coffee—
I count sixty roasted beans, precisely per cup.

At my desk, I work until two or three.
Daily embark on long walks, care free…
I muse, I think…
I write, I sync…
Musical thoughts in my head, at spree.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart…

A stroke of genius, the mastermind
Great man, I am, the wunderkind
My hair done by six o’clock
Seven mornings fully dressed, then work
Til nine, mostly til past midnight.

Absolute quiet in my study a story often flows.
My table laid out with vase of fresh flowers,
Facing the window,
I write from nine til two.
Walks in the countryside, nights for family-hours.

About me…

Where’s the spark in all my daily ritual?
Hard work begets inspiration of habit.
I create, I build, I produce
An art, a plan, a life’s cruise.
Perseverance becomes a habit of my heart.

Today, a spiritual exercise to know my Maker
Reshapes my soul to love my Creator,
Strength renews,
Gratefulness ensues.
Ritual, a sense of sweet trust and order.

Daily, God shines to inspire,
He is faithful to order desire--
To serve Him with joyful labor
To guide in helping a neighbor,
Daily delight in Him, He makes His presence sure.
