I look into the crystal water,
The water mirrors my face clearer,
My love-filled heart:
I shall wait, I’ll be smart.
My soul reflects the love for my Creator.
My love is the image of purest expression,
Which speaks words of affirmation,
It transcends
From Heaven’s
Gift of God to fill one’s soul with passion.
When God created Eve, His gift to Adam;
Love at first sight, his joy blossomed.
Delighted in his love for her,
“I’m complete because you’re here,” he said.
"My life--my Eve, my soul mate you’ve come!”
Rebecca and Isaac, betrothed in Heaven.
She knew in her heart to him she’d be given.
Isaac honored her,
He respected her,
Affection and comfort, she hastened to his love-tent.
David’s love for Abigail, immature, an impulse.
She was beautiful, virtuous and wise.
David proposed,
Abigail refused.
Love between them guided by godly prudence.
David and Bathsheba, tragedy ensued.
Lust, deceit and demise; God knew.
He took her, failed in waiting,
His love bore no blessing.
True love sacrifices and waits; my heart must be ruled.
Language of my Creator is the Love, I know.
True and pure, which sustains my soul.
He speaks in Psalms,
In Proverbs’ wisdom.
In the Prophets of old, of redeeming love.
I will not seek my soul mate in blind emotion
From romance novels, in the world of fiction.
True love will come
Through life in time.
With the one to share dreams, honor, respect and life’s vision.
