His bright blue eyes sparkle as he opens them widely, looking in through the glass patio door. With emotional meows he lets me know that He wants me to open the door and let him into the warm, cozy house. Once inside, he wants me to stroke the soft fur on his head and back and he wants to wrap himself around my legs. His affection for me has no strings attached. He is devoted to me and to him all other humans are secondary. He loves me, and he trusts me with his whole heart. I am just as devoted to him as he is to me.
As I open the patio door, he runs to me. As I walk, he is right there, practically under my feet. I nearly stumble over him. When I sit down on the comfortable sofa, He jumps into my lap and we sit there together for a little while. His loud purring is a comfort to my soul.
After several minutes of cuddling, he jumps down and runs to check out his food dish. Oh no, it is empty again. He looks back at me and I get the message: he is hungry. With no agenda or pretense, his honesty is pure and sweet. He knows that I will take care of providing his food, but he has no idea how. He knows I will take care of everything he needs: some food, shelter, and love. That is a pure illustration of how we are to love God: purely, innocently, completely trusting Him to take care of us.
Sebastian does not worry about what he will eat, drink or that he can find shelter. He knows I love him and will provide those things for him. I expect nothing in return except his love. I am so blessed to experience his devotion to me and mine to him.
Jesus tells us:
“Therefore, do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.” (Matthew 6:31-33 AMP)
Sebastian’s pure devotion to me illustrates how we should trust God. Mine to him shows us how much God loves us and how He takes care of what we need. We don’t have to worry about how or if He will take care of us. Our job is to love Him, live for Him and do what He says. As long as we are doing that, we know that he knows what we need, and He makes sure that we get it. Oh, how He loves us!

Tightening up your word choices a bit will allow more words to expand your ideas. For instance, the second and third paragraphs have overlapping information. You tell us what Sabastian will do when he comes in. Then he comes in and does what you already told us he would do. Be careful of excessive adjectives and adverbs. What other words might you use to get across that his purr is loud, that might be more interesting? Can you come up with some single words that could replace the phrase "emotional meows?"
