fear chokes their strength and their faith too,
Unpaid bills, credit gone
hearts barely beat, they lack sweet song
Plentiful work grinds to a halt,
anxiety grows with each assault
And then a cry traverses heights
from trembling lips one hopeless night
Where are you, God?--the words were terse
Don’t you see life’s getting worse?
The best years of our lives are spent
our despair now breeds discontent
Deflated faith and spirits laid
almost dead until they prayed
As if it was their last recourse
to turn to Him, their mighty force
He helped them sell things not needed
restored their hope which was depleted
Providing daily--some portions small
but He answered every urgent call
Work would come when unexpected
God’s outstretched hand they detected
With grateful hearts they recognized
each blessing that was Godly sized
Humble living became their norm
In weakness new strengths in them were born
Sometimes a struggle--making ends meet
but in faith they will not know defeat
Earthly lives can’t know perfection
as sin pulls man in all directions
Troubles still come, cold winds still blow
but it matters most to whom you go
Will you search and seek until you find
the most powerful friend of all mankind
Then as His peace settles over you
you’ll experience what only God can do
Psalm 46:1 (NLT) God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

It changes a little later making it more difficult to follow the same beat.
Good thoughts.
Rewrite this later to keep the same beat as the first stanza.
Very relatable - good job.
