She looks to find her way,
Discover purpose here on earth.
To find existence not in vain,
Unveil the reason for her birth.
Where is such answer to be found?

Continuing her search
To find her place in God’s vast plan.
No husband, children hers to serve.
Confused as when she first began.
The deeper questions still abound.

Contentment will she find
Without those she could call her own?
Will tender heart find purpose clear
Or live dissatisfied alone?
Her thoughts keep swirling all around.

Examines inner self,
To find fulfillment and to know
What can she do to satisfy
The longing to help others grow?
Her search continues to confound.

Considers daily life
And where she knows her heart to be.
Encourage, edify, lift up,
Help hurting ones to be set free.
This insight is to her profound.

Although she is alone,
Her life is just as He has willed.
She’s serving others with her heart.
In giving, finds herself fulfilled.
Content the answer has been found.

Beautiful! It spoke directly to my heart. Being alone is not the same as being lonely. Being obedience to God while in this world is the key to fulfillment. I will read this piece over and over and drink in the water from the well of God's grace. Good job!

Laurie, this is absolutely beautiful. It's bittersweet message is deeply profound and so personal. Yes, the rhyme scheme and rhythm is perfect in helping to weave this poem's mesmerizing tone. It's in my favorites for sure!
