Sometimes, I feel as though there are so many things going on in my life, all at the same time, so that I do not have time to even think. It is hard to focus when things are going totally crazy. But when I sit down and think about the Lord, my world slows down and I give all of the busyness to Him. This helps me to look at the things that need to be done in a more relaxed way.

For instance, it is easier to tackle one load of laundry at a time rather than worry about the other four loads you have to do later. Also, when I give the anticipated problems to the Lord early in the day, it is easier to deal with all of the junk stuff as it comes along.

As an example, suppose I have several phone calls I have to make that morning. I start calling say around 8:30 a.m. At about 9:45 I realize there is something else I have to check on. So I stop the phone calls so I can see if the question I had has been answered yet. I know you are getting the picture now, right?

I know God wants me to grow in faith and to learn how to lean on Him for everything. However there are times when I know I am making the entire situation worse by trying to shoulder most of the responsibility instead of leaving the problem with God. He is helping me to grow by showing me how things work out better when I give Him all of my troubles at the beginning.

I went back to see if the question was answered, and I noticed that it was. This only led to more questions from my inquisitive mind. It was interesting though, because as I worked through all of the questions and roadblocks, I noticed it got easier. I think it was because the Lord helped me to be more relaxed and able to concentrate on the matter at hand. He was expanding my faith while giving me peace at the same time.

I am still working on extending my faith and trusting the Lord; however, it gets a little easier every time I attempt it. God is always there to help, praise His name!
