Those of us who are the children of God possess a guarantee that we can genuinely claim for our future.
Take, for example, 1 John 5:4-5, " For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. (5) Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Do you without a doubt believe that Jesus is the Son of God,
well, it's a must if you want to be apart of the family.
Jesus never promised us a rose garden; in other words, there will be times of testing. I confess that it's not always an easy road being a child of God, as stuff happens. When these times arise in my life, I reflex on what the Lord God told Joshua in the book named after him to give the history of Israel's conquest of the promised land. Multiple times in the first chapter alone, starting with Joshua 1:6 for Joshua, " To be strong and courageous."
God's children did not have to " hope" that they were going to get into the promised land; it was only a matter of obeying the Word of God. Another verse, Psalm 39:7
" And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You."
I cannot express just what the Word of God means to me; that would do it complete justice. I do find that I remind myself multiple times: " My rosiness is in Jesus."
One last verse that moves as well as inspires me is: " Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit " (Romans 15:13).
