Topic: HOPE (10/29/20)
Yesterday morning as I was driving to the office, I noticed a woman jogging alongside the road. She was a heavy woman and I sensed that she was struggling. Immediately the word courage came to mind. Whilst driving I prayed for her for courage to carry on, maintaining her exercise routine.

I realised through the Holy Spirit, she will find courage and motivation to carry on. I felt honoured and humbled that God inspired me to pray for her.

Hope is about courage. Courage to keep on, keeping on. That unseen intangible Jesus inspired future happening, coupled with prayer.

Have you struggled with something, then ‘suddenly’ it all comes together, or you find new encouragement and that last bit just fits right in? That was because someone somewhere was obedient to the Call for Prayer; right now, right here to pray Holy Spirit inspired words and it all happened.

Is that what the Bible is teaching us about hope…, random prayers of courage from and for unknown people when we struggle to cope with everyday life; even something as simple as an exercising routine?

According to the dictionary* the meaning of the word hope is, expectation and desire combined for a certain thing to occur; also: a feeling of trust.

When you expect a certain thing to occur or to come together, that is not only hope it is also the ability to disregard fear (not knowing for certain), thus having courage.

Ps 31 v 24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Keeping in mind the meaning of the word hope coupled with courage it is an integral part of everyday life.

Just thinking of the abortion attempts and successes and suicide attempts and successes, some people are unable to maintain hope and could find no courage to face life day by day. Did I perhaps not answer the Call for Prayer at that moment when needed most by a person on the brink of giving in or giving up on life? God, if I did, I beg your forgiveness, here and now.

In short, some of us do lose heart. Yet, the Bible teaches us to have hope, to keep on believing, to keep on praying, especially for one another and randomly as inspired.

Gal 6 v 2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Our daily challenge is always to be courage’s, not to lose heart and to maintain hope through prayer, equals faith.

For me, being hopeful is a form of constant prayer, silently, in my mind and in my heart. Believing for that which is unseen, yet attainable, through keep on, keeping on and being obedient.

Furthermore, I believe HOPE is also an acronym:
H.O.P.E
Healing Of People Everywhere
