Bowing down low
Waving their palm branches
Singing hallelujahs to the King
Gathering His men around Him
They sat and partook of their last meal
He shared His heart with them
They just didn’t understand
In the garden
He asked them to watch and pray
While He went on ahead
They slept, while He agonized with God
The soldiers arrived with Judas Iscariot
Peter tried to intervene
Jesus went meekly
Understanding the Father’s plan
Horrified His disciples watched
As He was beaten and vilified
They daren’t intervene
Jesus kept silent
They watched as Jesus dragged
His Cross
To the hill
As Calvary
As His life blood flowed
Forgiveness for all mankind
Flowed from Heaven
To earth
He gave up His spirit
To His Father
Who wrapped Him in
Heavenly love
He is my Lord
And saviour
I owe Him
My everything
