I overheard a nutritionist say
People should eat six meals a day
That’s six small meals each day
Jesus didn’t even eat that way
Like the Hebrews in biblical times
Two meals a day are what I eat
Between breakfast and lunch first
And in the evening take a seat
Two meals and the first is brunch
The second I’ll call brunch two
Breakfast and lunch many dishes
Quality not quantity will help too
Like Christ Jesus on the seashore
With Fish and bread upon the grill
Come my people and take a seat
Time for brunch come get your fill
Now, if you hunger for the Word
Doesn’t matter when feed all well
And if you thirst the Word will do
God feeds his and you can tell
Jesus fed friends food and faith
First five thousand counting men
Then four thousand the Bible says
Not including women and children
Feed the food that God provides
The gospel is for every creature
With Father, Son, and Holy Ghost
Communing with saints a feature
Brunch in remembrance of Jesus
The One that saves men’s souls
Brunch in remembrance of Jesus
The One that makes men whole
I’ve had breakfast for every meal
Lunch and supper all times too
For most it’s the food you have
And brunch foods taste good too
Eat the food that feeds true
Call it brunch when you do
The gospel for thirst and feed
The brunch that fills you true
Call it brunch all but the one
Communing with those that eat
The one is the Bridegrooms dinner
With Jesus you can have a seat
No more night and always light
It could be brunch for eternity
With the Lord and the saints
Because it’s eternal life for thee
