Word of Yehovah came unto me saying;

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee
and before thou cameth forth out of the womb
I sanctified thee,
I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
(O.T. Hebrew Jeremiah 1: 4-5)

If Yehovah knew Jeremiah before He formed him, then reasoning suggests He also knew the day the prophet would be born. In his mother’s uteri/womb Yehovah personally formed and planned every detail of Jeremiah’s existence. Also consecrating and ordaining him to serve as a prophet even to the nations.

The more I thought about, “Before I formed thee, I knew thee.” I realized something. When did Yehovah know Jeremiah? Genesis 1:1, ``In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth.`` Elohim knows the beginning from the end. Before the beginning, began, in that exclusive moment of space and time, “Yehovah chose us, in him before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless before Him, in love.`` Ephesians 1-4

Should we use this prophetic call of the prophet as an example for the personhood of our unborn. Is there a deeper dimension of understanding we need to appreciate? And if so, imagine, what would happen if we spoke these beautiful prophecies over our sons, daughters while in the womb. We acknowledge that Yehovah, our heavenly Father has a superior role to play in our lives.

King David also has a comparable message in Psalm 139.
“You formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearful the and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. I saw my unformed substance; in your books were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them.”

David was knit together in his mother’s womb. How could this be? When the male sperm cell meets the female egg cell the unborn becomes an embryo. When David praises Yehovah, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. He was so correct. The male sperm cell is called a gamete, which means half of the whole. The female egg cell, also called gamete; is the other half. Yehovah really has a sense of humor; two halves make a whole.
The father’s sperm cell and the mother’s egg cell each carry 23 chromosomes that result in an embryo with 46 chromosomes. The unborn embryo at this very moment receives the blessing of life from Yehovah. The embryo knows it’s male or female. He, she receives DNA, growing proteins cells and important mitochondria cells. The son receives testosterone, a sex hormone that gives him male characteristics. Both sexes have everything needed to grow into a healthy son or daughter.

Humankind is the crown in the story of creation. There’s no doubt in my mind that our sons and daughters are treasured gifts from Creator himself. We are fearfully we and wonderfully made to display the Glory and excellence of Yehovah’s work.

The Apostle to the Gentiles wrote to the Ephesians, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ, Jesus for good works, prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. ``
